Never out of His sight

Bondservants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh, not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but in sincerity of heart, fearing God.  And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men,  knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ
Colossians 3:22-24

One of the hardest places for us to live out our faith is at work (or as students in school, or as homemakers at home).  We work hard and sometimes receive no recognition or no raises. Promotions go (unfairly at times) to the other person.  It is easy to become disgruntled.  Paul reminds us to obey our bosses anyway.  To do our best in everything we do, not to be seen by men, but because God is always watching.  We are reminded that ultimately, we work for Him and He is the One who will reward us for our diligence and faithfulness, even if the rewards of men never come our way.

This is not always easy to put into practice, so let us prayerfully go to work or school tomorrow, doing what we do as an act of worship for God’s glory.

Be encouraged child of God.  Your ever-loving Heavenly Father sees.
